Creative Writers

Writing is often described as a solitary activity. However, its core purpose is to communicate, which inherently requires more than one person. The intent of Stanford’s Creative Writers Community of Practice is to connect writers with other writers, whether they are working on communicating ideas to spark intellectual curiosity, stories to motivate people to become better versions of themselves, we are all working on improving our writing craft to communicate and connect. Some specific projects that we do are:

  • Writing Novels during National Novel Writing Month (November)
  • Supporting each other’s writing, editing, publishing process throughout the whole year
  • Developing shared resources & for writing, editing, publishing
  • Creating a community of people who are working on this “solitary” activity
